DATE ---------------------- opening day 4/9

TIMES --------------------- 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

CONDITIONS ------------- gorgeous!!!

AREA FISHED ------------- Great Cove,Between the Islands, Brady Bridge etc.

WATER TEMPERATURE-- 45

FISHING METHOD ------- Trolling

BAIT/LURES USED ------- Metals and Rapalas

NOTES --------------------- Well I cant remember a opening day that was so perfect weather wise. Just the day itself was a good start. We boated our first trout just a few min into the day. Seemed like when the water was colder the trout responded to the rapalas much more aggressive than to the metals. By 11am we had 4 trout. We went for a long period of time with no fish. Then for whatever reason, temp or just good ol fashion luck we hit the trout hard at 3Pm. We boated 5 more trout in the last hour of the day. We totaled nine trout. Matt scaled a 15oz Rainbow Trout and 1lb 13oz Brown Trout. Was a awesome opening day. Strange that we only caught just trout? No other species to be found...
