NAME --- Alex Stockton
E-MAIL --- alexstockton251@yahoo.com
DATE --- 4-1-24
TIMES --- 3:30 to 7:00pm
CONDITIONS --- cloudy
AREA FISHED --- riverstyx
WATER TEMPERATURE-- unknown
FISHING METHOD ---  trolling
BAIT/LURES USED --- handtied jigs and black nailtail jigs
NOTES --- Got off from work early due to rain and went out after the rain stopped. with the cloud cover still around i tried some trolling with jigs 28" under the bobber, I found that the weeds are starting to grow about 2ft from the bottom and i needed to keep the jigs up off the weeds and had to go slow to get some crappies to play. I found the fish wanted the jigs moving if i stopped and casted the bite was not as good. I got a bunch of crappies with the biggest at 13 and a half inches. a bunch of males around 6" to 10" and only a couple of females from 10" to 13.5". I also got 5 sunnies and 7 roaches(golden shinners). we need the warmer temps to get things going a bit better.the bite has been tough lately..

DATE --- 6/18/24
TIMES --- 8pm till 3 am
CONDITIONS --- clear skies lite winds
AREA FISHED --- sunken island, sister islands, pine tree point, cow tongue point
WATER TEMPERATURE-- unknown
FISHING METHOD ---  casting
BAIT/LURES USED --- stickbaits,topwater lures
NOTES --- the nite bite is still going on. the baitfish started around 1130pm and the fish started to hit around 1230pm. i casted a flicker shad to start then used a zara spook jr and a bill dance spittin immage topwater bait. i caught 1 crappie 4 rock bass 1 hybrid near sunken island and 1 short walleye at sister island on the flicker shad and then got one nice hybrid on the spitin immage and a nice walleye on the zara spook at pine tree pt. we had to move around to get the fish. the herring were thick around sister island and it was hard to get fish to hit there so we moved to pine tree point and the herring were not as active there and we got nice fish there. we ended the night at cow tongue point around 3 am when the action slowed down. i caught the crappie and the rock bass around 8 30 and all the rest of the fish later on. the bite died around 3 am so we ended the night then.
