------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NAME --------------------- Mark Modoski, Matt, Jay and Jack

E-MAIL --------------------- catfishonthelake@gmail.com

DATE ---------------------- July 27th/28th

TIMES --------------------- 5pm to 3:30am

CONDITIONS ------------- Calm, cloudy, a little rain and lightning in the distance

AREA FISHED ------------- Main Lake Points

WATER TEMPERATURE-- 78-79 Degrees

FISHING METHOD ------- Bait

BAIT/LURES USED ------- Herring and Chicken Liver

NOTES --------------------- We hammered the stripers. We were hoping to get a channel cat or two, but the hybrids were finding the livers the second they were dropped. Took a couple nice crappie on live herring with daylight and started to get some better bites around midnight. For the next 2 hours it was mayhem with the stripers eating the chicken livers the second they hit the bottom. We scored a few on herring too, including one that almost spooled me while I was fighting another fish. Lost count of how many we caught and how many we lost. My buddy Matt caught his first hybrid, as did his buddy Jay and 4-year old son Jack. Needless to say they're hooked. We added a half-dozen bullheads and a couple white perch to the mix. Lake was almost completely empty and the thunder never came close enough for us to take cover. What a night.

E-MAIL --------------------- jmacmetro@aol.com

DATE ---------------------- 07.05.12

TIMES --------------------- 8am till 11:30

CONDITIONS ------------- hot, windy

AREA FISHED ------------- Byrom Bay, Cow's Tongue, Great Cove

WATER TEMPERATURE-- 81

FISHING METHOD ------- drifting, anchoring

BAIT/LURES USED ------- herring

NOTES --------------------- Just put in a couple of hours before I got blown off the lake, but did manage some nice fish. I caught and released a smallie just under 3 pounds, a really nice pickerel and a 4 1/2 pound hybrid striper. All the fish were on drop offs in 18 to 24 feet of water, using slip bobbers. The fish were wieghed with a digital scale that is pretty accurate and released. Is anybody else fishing? We would all like to know how you are doing. Fishing reports anyone? Thanks
