TIMES --------------------- 9-4pm

CONDITIONS ------------- fair

AREA FISHED ------------- Landing

WATER TEMPERATURE-- cold

FISHING METHOD ------- ice

BAIT/LURES USED ------- tip-ups and teardrop jigs

NOTES --------------------- Pat faired the best today with 4 perch, 4 pickerel, and a largemouth. Jim got 5 perch, a pickerel, and a largemouth. We jigged up some perch but caught most fish with shiners on tip-ups in 2 feet of water and 4 inches of ice in the channel leading to Landing. A funny thing happened today while I was watching Pat sneak up on his tip-up. I don't know why he was tip toeing up to it, and neither does he. But as he did it tripped and he proceeded to land a 2lb. largemouth bass. Later as we were pulling our tip-ups to go home I walked toward my farthest one and as I got there it also tripped and had a largemouth on it. It was as though they were watching it and when they heard someone coming they decided to grab it and run. Either that or they had already eaten it and were just hanging out when we scared them away. Here's a couple of pics from the day...
