DATE --- 4/10/21
TIMES --- 11:30am till 3:30pm
CONDITIONS --- overcast/windy
AREA FISHED --- henderson cove
WATER TEMPERATURE-- unk
FISHING METHOD --- trolling and casting
BAIT/LURES USED --- jig-n-bobber/ roadrunner
NOTES --- I went out in Henderson cove to look for crappies. I started trolling with the jig-n-bobbers and was casting the roadrunner out in front to locate some crappies. The first fish was a pickerel and that is usually a sign that this is going to be a bad day. About fifteen minutes later i get hit again and thought that i had another slime dart but was surprised to find a 23" walleye on the line that was a nice surprise. I found some crappies that wanted to play and got 4 of them one that was 14" before the wind picked up and made trolling a pain in the butt so i left that area and went over to the brady bridge area and moved around till i found some fish by callaghans cove. All crappies were caught on jig-n-bobber the distance from the float varied from 18" to 28" rufus jr was the preferred jig of the day but i did get the 14" fish on homemade crappie candy jig made from bucktail and red feathers.
