TIMES --------------------- 9:30 am till 5:00 pm

CONDITIONS ------------- couldn't be better

AREA FISHED ------------- points and weed lines

WATER TEMPERATURE-- mid 60's

FISHING METHOD ------- anchored, live lining herring, fishing bait near the bottom

BAIT/LURES USED ------- herring (dead and alive) nightcrawlers

NOTES --------------------- Perhaps the best day that I've ever had on the lake, not because of the number of fish, although I caught more than 20, but because of the quality of the fish. I caught a couple of nice walleye fishing worms along the weedlines (as well as a gazzillion bluegills and some nice perch) and eventually anchored off a couple of points and live lined herring as well as fished cut herring and worms just off the bottom. Only small stripers until around 2 in the afternoon, and then just one big fish after the next. The biggest weighed just a hair under 8, but I caught several over 6, as well as 4 and 5 pounders. I could have caught more but I got tired of fighting these big fish. Would have pics but wanted to release them quickly. Go catch some before the lake is too low!

NOTES --------------------- We had an awesome 4 hours on the water landing 32 Hybrids, we were tired and ran out of time as the sun was going down fast. Left the fish still biting. You can see a picture of my fish finder screen on Bountyfishing.com Hybrid Striper Blitz. Fish from top to bottom.

DATE ---------------------- 8/7/13

TIMES --------------------- 8:30 to Noon

CONDITIONS ------------- Beautiful, about 75 clear skies

AREA FISHED ------------- Between islands

WATER TEMPERATURE-- 74

FISHING METHOD ------- drifting and anchored

BAIT/LURES USED ------- live bait (herring) and artificials

NOTES --------------------- Small mouth fishing continues to be good with small and larger 2lb fish being caught. Fished between islands from about 20 feet to weed lines. Live lining herring produced small mouth and artificial worms and crayfish produced nothing. Fish finder showed a lot of bait fished being chased by bigger fish. Most fish caught right up to weed line.
