BAIT/LURES USED ------- crank baits and live herring

NOTES --------------------- I finally had a chance to take my nephew out last Saturday night just before the heavy rain chased us off the lake. He caught his new personal best 20 inch Large mouth and a 15 1/2 inch crappie. The next morning I joined Pete and Steve Romain on there new bass boat and showed them a few tricks on how to troll for walleye and stripers with live bait. The 25 inch walleye weighed 6.2 lbs after it puked up at least 15 herring before Laurie weighed it for us at Dow's.

BAIT/LURES USED ------- shad rapalas mepps spinners

NOTES --------------------- 2 nice rainbows 16 " numerous large crappies, yellow perch, rock bass and a few small largemouths. A beautiful day on the lake with excellent fishing. Fish were hitting pretty much anything silver. Would not hit anything gold.

FISHING METHOD ------- Jigging, casting jigs under bobbers

NOTES --------------------- A nasty day to be out on the Lake but we had a great time. Chris landed 17 total from bass to perch, bluegill and crappie. We both Topped off our NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Specialist Award applications with 5 crappie each over 14 inches. I ended up with 1 baby bass and 13 crappie the biggest was 15 inches.
